Hackney was the birthplace of My/Architect, growing from a one-man-band in a flat on Hackney Road to the team of architects working across London today.
Our founder, Harry, has always been deeply connected to the East End, fostering a particular affinity for Hackney where he spent the first 10 years of his life in London. During this time he’s grown a great sense of attachment to the area for it’s rich and complex mixture of industrial, family-orientated and cultural heritage. He even got married in Hackney Town hall!
It’s not uncommon to find our team members mingling in the eclectic markets or enjoying the ambiance of the heritage pubs nestled among the historic rows of Hackney’s Victorian and Edwardian streets, especially around the vibrant hubs of Hackney Central and Viccy Park.
Hackney, our founding borough, has consistently been at the heart of our operations.
Here, we’ve honed our expertise for delivering projects throughout the rest of London, converting lofts and extending kitchens in areas like Shoreditch and Stoke Newington, as well as refurbishing flats across the picturesque settings of Victoria Park and the Regent’s Canal. Every project comes with a unique set of challenges, however through repetition and a consistent approach to customer satisfaction we’re now able to streamline many services to provide a thorough end-to-end service for all homeowners.
